The Rimini International Choral Workshop (31 August - 6 September 2014) is a week of music-making and learning with Peter Phillips, Ghislaine Morgan and Andrea Angelini in the beautiful and ancient town of Rimini, on the "Riviera Adriatica" in Italy. The workshop is especially dedicated to exploring our great heritage of renaissance choral music, and to developing a performance style appropriate to it, as pioneered by the Tallis Scholars.
The aim of the Rimini International Choral Competition Is not only to have groups competing against one another, but also to present to the audience the characteristics and diversities of each choir and repertoire. The event will take place in the beautiful setting of this ancient Roman city, well-known for the beauty of its beaches and rich in monuments from a splendid past.
The International Choral Festival and Competition ‘Queen of the Adriatic Sea’ is a competitive event that takes place in Cattolica and in some wonderful places of Romagna Region. It is organized once a year and its program consists of three days full of events. The Festival is part of the Rimini International Choral Competition, a competitive festival which takes place the last week of September of every year.
The Vocal Ensemble Musicaficta has been founded in 2001 by its present Director, Andrea Angelini. The main purpose of the Group is the exploration of the magical world of Polyphonic Sacred Choral Music with particular consideration for the Renaissance time. Its members are professional singers and their number varies according to the repertoire performed. The Ensemble, that has performed in Italy and abroad in important Festival, has also been also conducted in concert by famous Choir Directors.
